Biographical information[edit]

The brother of Sam Agnew, catcher Troy Agnew later managed in the minors. From 1936 to 1941, he owned the Augusta Tigers of the South Atlantic League. He also owned the Palatka Azaleas (managed by his brother) in 1937 until relenquishing the team on July 16.

As a player, he hit .233 in 10 minor league seasons.
