Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Tristen Lutz was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in Competitive Balance Round A of the 2017 amateur draft, with the 34th pick. He was the Brewers' second pick of the draft, following Keston Hiura at #9.

Tristen began his pro career in 2017 with the AZL Brewers, then after 16 games was promoted to the Helena Brewers of the Pioneer League. He hit .311/.398/.559 in 40 games between the two stops. In 2018, he played full-season ball with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers of the Midwest League, getting into 119 games. He hit .245 with 33 doubles and 13 homers and scored and drove in 63 runs. In 2019, he moved up to the Carolina Mudcats of the Carolina League, where he hit .255 with 24 doubles and 13 homers. He scored 62 runs and had 54 RBIs in 112 games. He played mainly centerfield during his first three seasons in the minors.
