The brother of Brandon, D.T., and Burke Cromer, Tripp Cromer was a shortstop who, for many years, split his time between the majors and minors. He was up in the majors for eight years, getting 345 at bats in 1995 with the St. Louis Cardinals. Appearing in 105 games, he batted .226/.261/.325 with 19 doubles and 18 RBI. He appeared in only 79 games over five more seasons, driving in 20 runs with four home runs and a .291/.333/.465 line in 86 at bats for the 1997 Los Angeles Dodgers. Tripp played against Brandon in the minors for the first time in 1997 in Triple A. He and D.T. were both in the NL Central during the 2000 season.
