Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Trey Beamon was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the second round of the 1992 amateur draft. He played for three teams during three years in the majors. In the minors, he posted a career average near .300, including a high of .334 in Triple A in 1995. In 1994, he won the Southern League batting title with the Carolina Mudcats. Through 2019, he is one of three major leaguers with the name Beamon. The others are father and son duo Charlie Beamon, Sr. and Charlie Beamon, Jr..
