Biographical Information[edit]

The son of Charlie Beamon, Sr., Charlie Beamon had the highest batting average on the 1975 Waterloo Royals, a team that went 93-35. The team also featured Dan Quisenberry and Willie Wilson. Unlike his father, Charlie was a first baseman and designated hitter who played 45 games in parts of three big league seasons with the Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays, batting .196 with two doubles. He played professionally until 1983, finishing his career in the Mexican League.
