Biographical Information

Felipe "Tres" Barrera made his major league debut in 2019, getting a chance because of injuries to catchers with the Washington Nationals. He was born in Eagle Pass, TX, attended Sharyland High School in Texas (winning honors in both baseball and football), and went to college at the University of Texas, where he was a starter for three years. In the minors since 2016, he was a catcher at the A- to AA levels, without having been in the rookie leagues or in AAA, before coming to the majors.
