Biographical Information[edit]

Tracy McGrady spent 16 years in the NBA, making 7 All-Star Games and winning two scoring titles and was inducted in the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2017.

McGrady had played baseball in high school in Florida before transferring. His new school in North Carolina had no baseball team, so he focused on basketball.

In 2014 he signed with the Sugar Land Skeeters of the independent Atlantic League as a pitcher. He made his professional (pre-season) debut April 16th, allowing 1 run on 3 hits in 1 inning. He finished the season 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA in 4 starts. In 6 2/3 IP, he allowed 4 hits but walked 10.
