Biographical Information[edit]
Toyohiko Aida played for the Chunichi Dragons from 1960 to 1964.
He led the Tokyo Metropolitan University League in average in the fall of 1956 at .351. As a rookie with Chunichi in 1960, he was 6 for 36 with two walks and a double, backing up Hiroji Okajima at 3B. He was 0 for 7 with four whiffs in 1961 and 0 for 6 with four Ks in 1962. He earned the majority of his career at-bats in 1963. That year, he hit .154/.267/.165 in 91 at-bats as Chunichi's 7th-most-used outfielder. He was 0 for 5 in 1964.
He hit .138/.222/.152 in 162 career plate appearances. He later was a reporter for the Tokyo Shimbun.
