Biographical Information[edit]
Toshihiko Kosaka had pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.
Kosaka represented Japan in the 1969 Asian Championship. The Yomiuri Giants drafted him in the first round of the 1969 NPB draft. Kosaka only pitched 23 games in the first two years in his career. In 1972, he was 4-4 with a 3.86 ERA and pitched 70 innings. The Giants then traded him with Hidetake Watanabe to the Nittaku Home Flyers for Yoshimasa Takahashi. Kosaka still couldn't get many chances with the Flyers, as he only pitched 57 innings combined in four seasons, and announced his retirement after the 1976 season.
Overall, Kosaka was 9-8 with a 4.74 ERA and pitched 171 innings in 7 seasons in NPB.
