Located on the campus of San Diego State University, Tony Gwynn Stadium is home to the San Diego State Aztecs. The ballpark, which opened in 1997, is named after former Aztec and San Diego Padres star Tony Gwynn. Since 2005, it has also been the home of the San Diego Surf Dawgs of the independent Golden Baseball League. The current capacity of Tony Gwynn Stadium is 3,000 fans.
