Biographical Information[edit]

Tony Graffanino was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 10th round of the 1990 Amateur Draft. He made his pro debut that summer with the Pulaski Braves.

In 2005, the Kansas City Royals traded Graffanino to the Boston Red Sox only to re-sign him 8 months later with a $1 million/year pay raise.

His son A.J. Graffanino [1] was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in 29th round of the 2015 amateur draft, went on to play for the University of Washington in the 2018 College World Series, and was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 8th round of the 2018 amateur draft.
