Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Tony Fiore has played in the major leagues, Taiwan, Italy and the independent leagues. He had a 3.86 ERA and no decisions for Rimini in the 2007 European Cup. Fiore was Italy's ace in the 2007 Baseball World Cup. He allowed one run in five innings in a win against the Spanish national team and used his knowledge of CPBL batters to shut out the Taiwanese national team for 7 innings. Unfortunately, Italy lost that game when Chris Di Roma blew it in relief and En-Yu Lin tossed a shutout for Taiwan. Fiore was 1-0 with a 0.75 ERA in the Cup.
