Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Tom Young played in the Los Angeles Dodgers system from 1958 to 1962. He began his career at 17 years old.

After going a combined 4-10 over his first three seasons, he broke out in 1961 to go 15-7 with a 2.62 ERA in 185 1/3 innings for the Panama City Fliers (13-6, 1.95), Reno Silver Sox (0-1, 8.47) and Greenville Spinners (2-0, 2.76). He led the Alabama-Florida League in ERA. He went 7-6 with a 4.05 ERA in 1962 to wrap up his career. Overall, he was 26-23 in 117 games.
