Biographical Information

Tom Waddell was the only major league player since the time of Bobby Thomson to have been born in Scotland. He was the last major league player to have gone to Manhattan College before the debut of Mike Parisi in 2008. Oddly enough, George Chalmers, another of the eight major leaguers from Scotland, also attended Manhattan College.
