Biographical Information[edit]
Brother of J.J. Thobe and Steve Thobe, Tom Thobe was in the majors in 1995 and 1996, with the Atlanta Braves under manager Bobby Cox. The Braves won their division both seasons.
Tom is 6' 6" tall, as is his brother J.J., while their brother Steve is listed at 6' 7".
Except for one season (1997), Tom was always primarily a reliever in the minors. In perhaps his most impressive minor league season, 1995, he went 7-0 with 5 saves and a 1.84 ERA in 48 appearances with the Richmond Braves.
