Biographical Information

Tom Morrissey played 14 games in the majors and had a long career in pro ball outside of the majors. He was from Wisconsin, so it is not surprising that he often played for northern teams in cities such as Milwaukee, Eau Claire, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Bay City and Dubuque.

It has now been determined that the records for the 1882 Detroit Wolverines previously attributed to John Morrissey actually belong to his brother, Tom Morrissey. Both John and Tom played third base.
