Biographical Information[edit]
Tom McCarthy pitched in the majors in 1908-09. He had some success with the 1908 Boston Doves, going 7-3 with a 1.65 ERA, best on the team.
McCarthy also pitched one game for the 1908 Cincinnati Reds and two games for the 1908 Pittsburgh Pirates.
McCarthy, who was 5 ' 7 " tall, went 9-2 for Hartford in 1909 and 15-9 for Hartford in 1911.
He is not to be confused with the Hall of Famer Tommy McCarthy nor the later Tom McCarthy.
