Ten days later, he took the mound for the only time of his career, pitching two-thirds of an inning in a 13-2 loss to the Chicago White Sox; he gave up a run on two hits and a walk during his stint.
Born in British Columbia, he went to high school and college in California. He pitched in the minor leagues in 1964 and 1965, going 8-11, 2.42 between two teams the first season. He made four starts for the Geneva Senators of the New York-Penn League and was done as a professional. Apart from his one major league appearance, he never pitched above Class A.
