Biographical Information[edit]
Tom Grieve is the father of Ben Grieve. Like his son, he was a top-10 draft pick, going 6th overall in the 1966 amateur draft. He is also the father of former Kansas City Royals 1994 draft pick, Tim Grieve.
Grieve was the Texas Rangers' Assistant Director of Player Procurement and Development in 1981-1982 and the Director of Player Procurement and Development in 1983. He was the Farm Director in 1984 and the General Manager of the Rangers from September 1984 to 1994. Since 1995, he has been a Rangers television broadcaster.
TAG was inducted into the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame in 2010.
