"Catterson made a home run in the eleventh..." - Sporting Life, October 3, 1908, about Catterson's heroics in the eleventh inning of the game on September 22, which was won by the Pittsburgh Pirates who scored more runs in the eleventh than did the Brooklyn Superbas
Tom Catterson played 28 games for the Brooklyn Superbas between 1908-1909, hitting .198 with a home run in 86 at bats. Most of his minor league career was spent in the New England League. He was born in Rhode Island ten years after Nap Lajoie was born there and sixteen years before Gabby Hartnett was born there.
