Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Tomás Hernández played in the Mexican League and for the Mexican national team.
He was on the Agrario de México team that won the 1937 Liga. He hit .216/.256/.284 that year. It is the first year for which LMB statistics are available. In 1938, he fell to .185/.205/.321 for Agrario. He played for Mexico in the 1938 Central American and Caribbean Games, when Cuba protested their usage of professional players in an event that was only to feature amateur players (Mexico had to withdraw in 1935 for the same problem). In 1939, his last season, he batted .273/.273/.273 in ten games for the Indios de Anáhuac.
