Biographical Information[edit]

Todd Incantalupo pitched in the minor leagues and in Italy.

The Milwaukee Brewers took Todd in the 8th round of the 1997 amateur draft. He was 5-4 with a 5.12 ERA for the Helena Brewers in 1997. In 1998, the southpaw went 3-8 with a 5.02 ERA for the Beloit Snappers with 129 hits in 100 1/3 IP. During 1999, Incantalupo posted a 4-4, 6.04 record with a save for Beloit with 115 hits in 95 1/3 IP.

The Stamford native then pitched in Italy. He was 1-2 with 5 saves and a 2.43 ERA in 12 games in 2000 for Bologna, striking out 40 in 37 innings. In '01, he fanned 17 in 13 1/3 IP and went 1-0 with two saves and a 3.38 ERA. For Bologna in 2004, Incantalupo allowed four runs in 4 2/3 IP.

In 2005, Todd allowed 3 runs (1 earned) in 12 innings in the regular season with a win and a save. In the finals, the Bologna lefty was 2-0 with a 2.31 ERA to help the club to a title. That performance impressed Italy enough to put him on their roster for the 2006 World Baseball Classic. Incantalupo did not pitch in the 2006 WBC, though.

Coming off the WBC, Incantalupo only pitched one game for Bologna in 2006, allowing 3 runs in 2 1/3 IP. In 2007, he was 1-0 with a 3.46 ERA in 12 games, tying the highwater mark of his Italian career.
