Biographical Information

Ting-Wei Yu pitched in the CPBL.

Yu represented Taiwan in the 2015 U-18 Baseball World Cup (throwing four shutout innings), but he went undrafted in the 2017 CPBL Draft. The Fubon Guardians signed him, and he was 4-2 with a 4.47 ERA in 2019 after spending a year in the minor league. He struggled in 2020 as his ERA was 11.16 in 9 games, and he had a 6-7 record with a 5.43 ERA in 2021. Yu improved to a 2.97 ERA in 12 games in 2022, but he only got 4 appearances in 2023.

Yu's repertoire includes a fastball (peak 90.1 mph), curveball, changeup and slider.
