Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Tim Van Egmond was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 17th Round of the 1991 amateur draft. He pitched nine seasons in the minors and came up to the majors from 1994 to 1996 to pitch 23 games for the Red Sox and Milwaukee Brewers.

Todd Jones was at Jacksonville State University in 1988-1989 while Van Egmond was there in 1990-1991.

Tim was named to the Alabama Community College Conference Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999. The website states that Tim went to East Coweta High School in Sharpsburg, GA and then attended Southern Union State Community College in 1987-1989. He was a couple of times awarded the "Ace of the Staff" award while in the Boston Red Sox minor league organization. He continues to live in Georgia.
