Tim Meacham was a minor league pitcher for one year.
The New York Yankees took Meacham in the 7th round of the 1982 January draft, then the Montréal Expos chose him in the 9th round of the 1983 amateur draft. In the 1983 College World Series, he helped Alabama to a second-place finish and was named to the All-Tournament Team alongside Barry Bonds, Dave Magadan, Pete Incaviglia, Chris Sabo and Calvin Schiraldi. He returned for another season at Alabama and fell to the 18th round of the 1984 amateur draft before going to the Atlanta Braves. Assigned to the Anderson Braves, he was 1-2 with five saves and a 4.67 ERA in his lone season as a pro.
