Biographical Information[edit]

Tim Huson played four seasons of professional baseball. He is the nephew of Jeff Huson.

Tim was taken by the Chicago White Sox in the 11th round of the 2001 amateur draft, one round before they took Chris Stewart. Huson hit .183/.306/.255 for the 2001 Bristol White Sox, striking out in 68 of 153 at-bats. He was their main third baseman (fielding .906) and their #2 option at first base (fielding .989). He was 7th in the Appalachian League in strikeouts. He hit .265/.322/.439 in a repeat engagement with the club in 2002, backing up primarily at 1B. He split 2003 between the Great Falls White Sox (2 for 13, 2 BB) and independent Amarillo Dillas (.233/.271/.344 in 28 G). With the 2004 Dillas, he was 6 for 36 with a walk and a double to end his career. In 137 games as a pro, he had batted .217/.293/.323 with 7 home runs, 42 walks, 151 strikeouts, 55 runs and 30 RBI in 424 at-bats. He had played 44 games at 3B (.885), 44 at 1B (.977), 37 in the outfield (.982) and 4 at second base (1.00). He also pitched one inning, allowing a hit, two walks and two unearned runs.
