Biographical Information[edit]

Tim Hunt played in the independent leagues from 2000 to 2002.

With the Northern League's Sioux City Explorers in 2000, the 22-year-old hit .188/.304/.271 with one home run, five RBI and 18 hits in 39 games. He hit .250/.367/.283 with no home runs, 38 hits and 18 RBI in 57 games for the Northern League's Duluth-Superior Dukes in 2001 and in 2002, he hit .218/.371/.218 with no home runs, 12 hits and 4 RBI in 19 games for the Western League's Long Beach Breakers.

Overall, he hit .224/.348/.267 with one home run, 27 RBI and 68 hits in 115 games.

He later played for the United States men's national softball team that finished second in the 2007 World Cup of Softball.

On April 26, 2014, he died in an off-road vehicle accident at the age of 37.
