Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Tim Costello played in the minor leagues from 1974 to 1979.

Originally drafted in the 11th round of the 1974 amateur draft by the Atlanta Braves, Costello began his professional career that year. He was 40-45 with a 4.35 ERA in 140 games (119 starts) over six seasons, with his best year coming in 1978, when he was 12-9 with a 2.44 ERA and 13 complete games in 28 games (26 starts).

He passed away suddenly on April 4, 2011 at the age of 54.
