Biographical Information[edit]
Thomas Paulich has played in the Elitserien and for the Swedish national team.
He hit .257/.358/.316 with 26 RBI in 39 games as a college freshman and was Empire 8 Conference Rookie of the Year. [1] He batted .275/.384/.396 in 2019, .313/.389/.458 in 2020 and .305/.383/.443 in 2021, when he won team MVP. [2] For the Sundbyberg Heat of the Elitserien that year, he was 1 for 4. [3]
He was then with Sweden for the 2021 European Championship, starting at third base for them. In the opener, he was 0 for 4 from the 3rd spot in the order against the Czech national team's Boris Bokaj and Jan Novák. He did handle seven chances error-free at the hot corner. His first hit was off Slovakia's Michal Puškár. He finished the Euros at .174/.208/.217 with three runs and one RBI in six games, fielding .826. He tied for 3rd in the event in errors, one behind Felix Brown and Denys Brechko. [4]
