The Hit-Away Kid is a book by Matt Christopher in the Peach Street Mudders series. Its topic is left fielder Barry McGee, the team's top hitter, and his battles with honesty in competitive situations. Things are complicated further when rival pitcher Alec Frost steals something from his family and McGee and Frost make a wager to get it back.
