Biographical Information

Soukhalom Thatsaphone was on the Laotian national team in the 2018 Asian Games, their first major tournament; he was their only player to both bat and throw lefty. In their opener, he pinch-hit for Chinu Va in the top of the 6th inning against Thailand. He struck out against Phanuwat Sukmuang. In their other game, versus Sri Lanka, he started in left field and batted second. He got plunked by Chamika Yasas and scored on a hit by Phithak Hopkhop. In the second, he drew a walk from Chirath Karunarathne and stole second. Va took over left field in the 5th inning.
