Biographical Information[edit]
Soukhalom Thatsaphone was on the Laotian national team in the 2018 Asian Games, their first major tournament; he was their only player to both bat and throw lefty. [1] In their opener, he pinch-hit for Chinu Va in the top of the 6th inning against Thailand. He struck out against Phanuwat Sukmuang. [2] In their other game, versus Sri Lanka, he started in left field and batted second. He got plunked by Chamika Yasas and scored on a hit by Phithak Hopkhop. In the second, he drew a walk from Chirath Karunarathne and stole second. Va took over left field in the 5th inning. [3]
