Biographical Information[edit]
Tex Nugent was a longtime minor league pitcher.
With the Temple Surgeons in 1924, Nugent went 11-15 and led the Texas Association with 176 strikeouts. Pitching for the El Dorado Lions in 1930, he led the Cotton States League with 21 wins. He then spent the next few seasons with the Little Rock Travelers. While with Little Rock, he led the Southern Association in losses twice, with 22 in 1933 and 21 in 1934. He briefly managed two different clubs in 1936 and played through 1941.
