Biographical Information

Tex Jones played nine games at first base for the 1911 White Sox at age 25. He was the same age as the regular first baseman that year, Shano Collins, who was in his second year in the majors and also 25.

Tex also played 15 years in the minors, including five for Des Moines. During four of those five years, he was the biggest home run hitter on the team.
