Biographical Information[edit]
Teruhiko Takahashi played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 3 years. .
Takahashi was signed by the Tokyo Senators in 1936, and he hit .232/.368/.375 in the spring. He led the Japanese Professional Baseball League in RBI with 18, and ranked 2nd in homers (2 behind Minoru Yamashita). Takahashi recorded a .275/.388/.392 batting line in the fall season, and led the JPBL in doubles with 10. After this year, he was enlisted in the military, and missed the next three seasons. He came back to the league in 1940 and hit .247/.363/.260, but slumped to .118/.257/.153 in 1941. He was drafted into the military again after the 1941 season, and his career ended. After the war, Takahashi coached Senshu University, Shoko High School and Yokohama High School.
Overall, Takahashi had hit .219/.344/.294 with 70 hits in 4 seasons in NPB.
