Biographical Information[edit]

Second baseman Terry Taylor spent four years in the minor leagues, playing from 1989 to 1992.

He spent three seasons at Texas A&M University, batting .305 his freshman campaign and .303 his sophomore year. In 1989, his junior season, he had a slash line of .335/.451/.619, with 17 home runs, 71 RBI, 82 runs scored (on 79 hits) and 50 walks in 64 games. Baseball America chose him as their All America second baseman. Teammate John Byington was also named to the list.

Taylor was drafted by the California Angels in the 5th round of the 1989 amateur draft and played in their system until 1992. He hit .267 with 8 home runs and 119 RBI in 323 games.
