Biographical Information

Terry Mann was a minor league umpire from 1978 to 1983, starting in the Midwest League, then moving in the Texas League in 1981. In 1995, he was recruited by the American League to work as a replacement umpire during the umpires' strike. He worked a total of six games. He also was a tennis referee. He had served in the Vietman War prior to his umpiring career.
