Pitcher Terry Bongiovanni was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 3rd round of the 1967 amateur draft. He pitched six years in the minors, reaching AA, with a career mark of 26-34.
On September 11, 1969, Bongiovanni was traded by the Cubs to the New York Yankees with a player to be named later and cash for Jimmie Hall. The Cubs sent Rick Bladt on January 6, 1970 to the Yankees to complete the trade.
