Biographical Information

Outfielder Teodoro Martinez has played in the Texas Rangers minor league system since 2009 (through 2013). He is the son of Carlos Martinez and the brother of Jose Martinez.

The speedster stole 20 or more bases in four of his first five professional seasons. His 2013 campaign was particularly interesting - he had more home runs than doubles, with 15 and 11, respectively, and despite his respectable dinger output, his slugging percentage was only .379.

Through 2013, his home run, RBI, at-bat, strikeout and games played totals increased each year from his first campaign. His long ball total went from zero his first season to 15 in 2013, and his RBI total went from 22 in 2009 to 47 in 2013.
