- 1902 - Hal O'Hagan of the Rochester Bronchos turns the first unassisted triple play of the 20th Century in professional baseball.
- 1909 - Arlie Latham (pictured) steals a base at age 50, becoming the oldest major leaguer to pull off a swipe.
- 1956 - The Redlegs bash 8 home runs to tie a major league record. Bob Thurman hits 3, Ted Kluszewski 2, Frank Robinson 2 and Wally Post 1.
- 1960 - Bob Sprout of the Decatur Commodores strikes out 22 batters in a seven-inning no-hitter, setting the Midwest League strikeout record.
- 2001 - Mike Romano of Saltillo throws the first playoff no-hitter in the history of the Mexican League as Saltillo defeat the Monterrey Sultans, 9-0
