Ted Shipley has been a college coach.

Shipley coached at Waynflete School for eight years. He was baseball and basketball coach at Vermont Technical College for four years, going 67-16 in baseball. He became head coach of Castleton State College in 2001 and was 227-174 after 10 years. He has set the school record for wins three times - 24 in 2002, 26 in 2007 and 34 in 2010.
