Ted Patterson
Ted Patterson is recognized as the top Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore baseball history expert. He first served at WBAL-TV from 1973 to 1982, as a sports director and nightime sports anchor. Patterson worked at WPOC radio from 1982 to 1998 as the sports director. In addition, Patterson has announced for the Baltimore Orioles, Washington Senators, Baltimore Blast and Baltimore Spirit indoor soccer teams, the Cleveland Cavaliers NBA team, and the Cleveland Crusader hockey team. Also, Patterson has announced for the United States Naval Academy football and basketball teams and the Towson University basketball team. He's a three time winner of the Maryland's Sportcaster of the Year Award and a six time winner of the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcaster of the Year Award.
Some of Patterson's biggest books have been "The Baltimore Orioles: Four Decades of Magic from 33rd Street to Camden Yards' and "Day by Day in Baltimore Orioles History".
