Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Ted Farr was taken by the Los Angeles Dodgers 18th overall in the 1973 amateur draft. He reached Triple-A briefly in 1976, but never appeared at the major league level.

Farr was taken in the same round as future Hall of Famers Robin Yount and Dave Winfield and one pick behind utility player Ted Cox. He was taken ahead of future Hall of Famer Eddie Murray and future star right fielder/first baseman Jack Clark.

He played in the minor leagues until 1977, which was arguably his best campaign - that year, he hit .270/.398/.521 with 18 home runs and 57 RBI in 86 games for the Double-A San Antonio Dodgers. By the age of 23, he was out of professional baseball.

Overall, he hit .235/.359/.397 with 39 home runs and 162 RBI in 339 games over 5 seasons.
