Biographical Information[edit]

Te-Hsien Chou played in the CPBL for 5 years.

Chou represented Taiwan in the 1987 World Junior Championship. The Mercuries Tigers selected him in the first round of the 1994 CPBL Draft, and he hit .190/.291/.234 in his rookie year. Chou improved and hit .289/.348/.397 in 1996, then his batting line was .270/.331/.339 in 1997. However, he slumped to .196/.284/.223 in 1998, so he only played 26 games with a .215/.250/.215 batting line in 1999. The Tigers were expelled after the 1999 season, and his professional career ended. Chou then coached Dahan Institute of Technology from 2000 to 2014, and he started to work as assistant coach for the Fu Jen Catholic University in 2015. He also managed Taiwan in the 2015 U-18 Baseball World Cup.

Overall, Chou had hit .225/.302/.275 with 155 hits and 4 homers in 5 seasons in the CPBL.
