- League: Mexican Center League 1973
- Affiliation: Petroleros de Poza Rica 1973
- Ballpark:
Through 2011, the Tamuin Cafeteritos are the only minor league team out of Tamuin, San Luis Potosi. They did okay, at 36-34 in the 1973 Mexican Center League for skipper Jose "Bimbo" Villegas. The problem was their attendance - only 2,431, less than half any other MCL team that year. They allowed a league-low 244 runs (scoring 269) and had one All-Star, SS Julio Esparza (.217/.292/.265, presumably picked because of his glove - his .964 fielding led the league's shortstops). Rafael Rodriguez (6-6, Sv, 1.82) was second in the league in ERA.
