Wasn't the American League called the Nationals for a long time? --Just me 17:46, 17 Mar 2006 (EST)

Indeed, their official name was the Nationals, until the late 1930's, I think, and it was even written on their uniforms certain seasons, but everyone refered to them as the Senators. We should stick to that convention, in order not to add another layer of confusion, in what is already a pretty convoluted history between the two names.--Philippe 02:09, 18 Mar 2006 (EST)

The Washington Senators page isn't even listed here. The two AL teams are directed to the teams they became. --Just me 23:57, 15 August 2006 (EDT)

Homestead Grays

I switched the Homestead Grays years and leagues back to one line as it was the same franchise (owners, players, etc.) that made a league switch. I see that the Brewers are listed on two lines on the Milwaukee page, however, so my change might raise issues of consistant reportage, but I'd rather avoid the confusion of separate lines being taken to mean two separate franchises. For clarity, I'd rather see:

Milwaukee Brewers, American League (1970-1998), National League (1999-present) --CubanXSenators

Whenever there is a league change by a franchise (and it's happened very often in the minor league), we put in a separate line. This is consistent for hundreds of cities. Let's keep things consistent. --Philippe 14:15, 22 April 2007 (EDT)

Washington Baseball

Okay, I put the Washington Nationals' history on this page. If this is in the wrong spot I apologize. Baseball history aside, I think lists of players who were born or died in the city should be moved to a new spot as it's becoming a longer page. Actually, I think it was already too long to begin with. I do think that the Senators (AA/NL) (AL) and (minor AA) should be combined into one page. From what I can tell, there is not a lot of information on the 19th century teams to warrant separate pages. - Yuriy 43.
