Talk:Tom Lynch (lynchto01)

From BR Bullpen

Wasn't the other Tom Lynch, the Chicago pitcher for one game, the deaf player? See Baseball Library, It's All About Pride (pdf). --MichaelEng 23:15, 17 August 2006 (EDT)

This is the guy whose page says he is out of Gallaudet, which is a college for the deaf. Do we have the college on the wrong page? - Randy 23:18 17 August 2006 (EDT)

BR lists Gallaudet for this one too--Just me 23:21, 17 August 2006 (EDT)

Maybe it is just a coinciedence that he attended Gallaudet. --MichaelEng 23:55, 17 August 2006 (EDT)

I am struck by the fact that there have only been two Tom Lynches in the history of major league baseball, and they both showed up at the same time . . . Could they be the same person? They are listed with different ages and different birth places, though. -= Randy 23:29 17 August 2006 (EDT)

Not only that but the umpire Tom Lynch was an exact contemporary of both, although with slightly different details. A topic for more research for someone. --Philippe 01:45, 29 February 2008 (EST)

And, one's career was on August 5 and the other's career started August 18th. --Jeff 01:54, 29 February 2008 (EST)
