Talk:Lou Proctor
I agree with MichaelEng. This is a Phantom Major Leaguer --Jeff 20:34, 18 February 2007 (EST)

I don't think "Lou Proctor" should be under "phantom major leaguers" but I'm having trouble getting him under "Phantom ballplayer" --User:VIBaseball
Phantom major leaguer is the right category in my view. It covers both players who were on a major league roster and did not play, and players who were at some point credited with playing in the bigs, but who never actually did. He's in the second category, even though it's the result of a deliberate hoax and not the more common mistaken boxscore or confusion between ballplayers. --Philippe (talk) 03:36, 23 May 2014 (EDT)
I for one find a different shade of meaning between "phantom major leaguer" and "phantom ballplayer". --User:VIBaseball
