Talk:Longest Hitting Streaks
I think this would be better served as three lists, one each for majors, minors, and NPB because the 30 game streaks in the minors must be miles long and, frankly, a 30 gamer in the majors is more impressive than the other two and I'd hate to be someone seeking the information about the majors and needing to seek the information out. --Scott 23:44, 19 May 2006 (EDT)
Omission of Sam Rice's second 30-game streak[edit]
Referencing this page and other sources as Jackie Bradley, Jr. approaches joining the list, I've found several sources missing the 1929-1930 streak of Sam Rice. I've added it here, as well as making a correction to the total number of 30-game streaks in MLB history (apparently a simple miscount) to 55, as of 5/25/2016. Don't have a contemporary primary source supporting Rice's second streak, but see https://www.washingtonpost.com/express/wp/2013/09/18/washingtons-hit-club/ for one of several reputable newspaper sources. --Patrick 13:10, 26 May 2016 (EDT)
You can look at the game logs on the BR page for Rice to see the last 2 games of 1929 and first 28 of 1930 to support the streak. --Jeff (talk) 20:00, 26 May 2016 (EDT)
