Talk:Larry Andersen
I wouldn't call it one of the more lopsided trades in baseball history. Sure, Bagwell went on to be a very good player, but Andersen also had several more good years as a pitcher after the trade. And the Red Sox had a young guy named Mo Vaughn who was ready to start playing first base, so somebody was going to have to go. - Randy 14:00, 21 February 2010 (MST)
I would agree with it not being one of the most lopsided trades ever. However, Bagwell was a third baseman when the Sox traded him, not a first baseman. So actually he was stuck behaind a HOF 3B there, not just an All-Star 1B. --Jeff 02:53, 24 February 2010 (EST)
