Talk:Jimmy Dee
I wonder why thedeadballera.com says he died in a railroad accident?
- The 9/22/97 Buffalo Commercial said that his family were making an investigation into whether he disappeared or was killed. It was feared that he lost his life on the steamship Oswego. His brothers were not sure that the man found in the hold, and buried on August 29th, was Dee. Jeff (talk) 17:45, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
- I can't find any more stories. Essentially, someone died in the grain hold and was buried a couple of days later. Dee was living in a boarding house in Chicago working on the docks, while his wife and kids were living in Buffalo. When the family stopped receiving letters they contacted the boarding house keeper, who informed them about the man in the hold. The family had its doubts, but I don't see any resolution. Not sure where deadballera got its info Jeff (talk) 17:53, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
